About Our Trust

The Trust is a not-for-profit organisation run entirely by volunteers. Our aim is to provide a service to the community. To promote the history and legacy of Lavenham village.

In our building we showcase and offer for sale products made in Lavenham and the surrounding local area. All profit made from these sales is used to pay the running costs of the building. Any excess profit is used for the benefit of the community.

As a service to the community we also give space within our building to an Outreach Post Office.

Ways We Help

Lavenham Village Information Point in Lady Street has many functions. It provides space for local clubs and groups to advertise their organisations and functions. The building is also a Visitor Information Point for tourists coming to our historic village. An Outreach Post Office in our building provides an essential service to the community.

Village Life

Lavenham is a vibrant village with numerous clubs and associations. We have a Good Neighbour Scheme providing a much needed support for many residents. The Village Hall is home to keep fit and yoga classes, indoor bowls among many others. The gardening club holds functions during the year as do the Bird Club, Theatre Group and Rambling Club. All of these organisations use our facilities to promote their news.

Visitor Information

Lavenham village is one of the best examples of medieval buildings in the country. There is a rich history to be explored. The Visitor Information Point is run by volunteers who are keen to help everyone get the best experience from their visit. We have maps, walking guides, books, postcards and souvenirs plus much more.
